The Montagu collection is an interpretation of Lady Mary Montagu’s travel to the Ottoman Empire in the 17th century, as wife to the British ambassador for Turkey. It showcases the similarities between a mosque and a cathedral. This collection is all about different textile manipulations, texture, materials, and modern silhouettes. It is a play on the oscillating trade relations between the east and the west.
